School Visit Information
My presentations are ideal for Kindergarten through 3rd grade, but can easily be tailored for students through 5th grade.
30-40 minutes for each presentation
• My background as a young reader;
• Storytelling from one of my books;
• Audiovisual presentation about how to create a new character for a children's book;
• Interactive presentation on Building a Children's Book Character where the students and I will create our own brand new character together;
• Question-and-answer session with the audience;
• Signing books.
I live in New Jersey and will travel.
"We absolutely loved our author visit! The portion read from Warren and Dragon: Weekend with Chewy entertained the students and piqued their curiosity to read more. The students particularly enjoyed creating and enacting their own story character. We got a great laugh from our new character- Sprinkles the Unicorn."

"Thank you so much for your visit last week! The students and faculty are still talking about your visit and your books. Your presentations kept them engaged, and I loved how they learned about the parts of a book as well as writing tips. One teacher told me, "I liked how she created a character with the kids and shared strategies so that they could create their own characters when they write stories." Ever since your visit, students have been coming up to share with me parts of your books that they most enjoyed or are currently reading. As a librarian, it doesn't get any better than that!"
